Yahweh Center Children’s Village welcomes your interest in becoming a foster or adoptive parent.  Part of the Yahweh Center’s mission of helping children heal is to transition them back into a home-like setting.  Sometimes this involves temporary foster care and sometimes it involves locating a “forever family” for our children.

What does it take to become a licensed foster family for us?  Not as much as you would think.
You can be: single, married, widowed, or divorced.
childless,
have children at home,
or have children living independently.
from any ethnic or racial background.

You must:
be a believer in Jesus Christ with a  personal relationship demonstrating a Christ centered world view.
be in good health.
have a reliable source of income.
be over 21 years of age.
have some experience living or working with children and/or  strong parenting skills.
be able to meet their daily needs.
teach them how to live in a family environment.
be able to work with Yahweh Center professionals, teachers, therapists and other specialists,
participate in the trainings and meetings to keep your license current,
be a believer in the healing power of love and commitment.

Currently over 10,000 children in North Carolina are living somewhere other than with their family of origin.   These children deserve permanency, stability and a hope for the future.  Becoming a foster parent is a life choice that will require time, energy and commitment.  Becoming a foster parent will change your life as you presently know it.  It is both a challenging and powerfully rewarding experience.   It requires a passion and devotion to the future by changing a child’s life.

If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please click use the contact information below.  Someone will respond to you quickly.
